The Museum Trail gateway sign serves as a new icon for Jackson – celebrating the multi-use trail as a linear green space, alternative transportation option, and recreation area. The sign, seventy feet long by ten feet tall, is visible from I-55, where 100,000 cars pass by daily.
But wait… there’s more!
The first phase of the project was completed this week with the second phase, a native wildflower garden, expected to be completed in Spring 2025. The garden will feature native grasses and blossoms, attracting visitors to meander through the trail and learn about the importance of pollinators like bees and butterflies.
